Birthday Parties
Celebrate your child’s birthday with a memorable nature-themed party at Glen Helen!
Eco-birthday programs at Glen Helen are for ages 4 to 12 and include:
- A private party space for up to 25 people for two hours
- Party room set up with tables, chairs, green table coverings, and “Happy Birthday” banner
- One hour of leader-led nature activities including a live animal encounter and an outdoor activity AND one hour free for cake, gifts, etc.
- Additional add-ons available
Cost
- $250 for up to 25 people including attending parents.
- $200 for space rental only with no activities included.
- A $50 deposit is due at the time of booking. The balance is due ONE week prior to the event date.
- In the event of cancellation, the $50 deposit is non-refundable.
Policies
- Maximum of 25 people including attending parents. At least 2 adults must be present for the duration of the event.
- Dress for the weather. All programs include an outdoor component. In the case of poor conditions, alternate indoor activities will be provided.
- Food and drink are permitted.
- To protect wildlife, balloons, pinatas, confetti, and glitter are not permitted.
- Alcohol and smoking are not permitted.
- Trash and recyclables must be disposed of in the bins provided.
Program Themes
All programs are one hour long and include a live animal encounter and an outdoor activity.
Amazing Animals
(all seasons)
Glen Helen is home to a variety of animal species. Explore the forest for wildlife on a guided scavenger hunt.
Creepy Crawlies
(April – November)
Discover the fascinating world of insects! Collect and observe insects up close and learn about their important role in nature.
Beaver Bash
(all seasons)
A family of beavers calls Glen Helen home! Decorate your very own beaver tail and partake in an outdoor skit all about Ohio’s largest rodent.
Stream Splash
(May – September)
Take a short hike to Yellow Springs Creek and search for fish, crayfish, aquatic insects, and animals that live in and around water.
Winter Wonders
(November – March)
How does wildlife survive outside during the winter? Investigate the woods on a guided quest to uncover the secrets of animal survival in the cold.
Add-Ons
Goody Bags - $8 Each
Includes a tree bark pencil, locally harvested honey sticks, a nature sticker, a plantable bookmark, and a turtle keychain
Raptor Center Bird Presentation - $25
Meet one of the birds of prey from our Raptor Center! This presentation will replace the standard live animal presentation. Proceeds go directly to the Raptor Center. Limited availability.
